Roof Mebrane Works
Roof membrane works is a roof repairs or construction process that involves the installation of membrane materials applied to waterproof a roof and prevent water leaks. Roof membranes are mostly used for flat or slightly pitched roofs and are widely used where waterproofing is required. They can also be used in different types of structures such as green roofs, terraces, water tanks, roof gardens and industrial facilities.
Roof membranes consist of layers of polymer or bitumen, which are usually waterproof, durable and long-lasting. There are two common types of roof membrane:
1 - Bitumen Membranes: Bitumen membranes are a flexible material adhered to the roof by hot or cold application methods. They are usually placed by bleaching or melting. These membranes are long-lasting and highly effective in providing waterproofing.
2 - Polymer Membranes: Polymer membranes are flexible plastic materials that are usually installed on the roof with hot air or chemical adhesives. They are lightweight and durable and usually allow for faster installation on the roof.
Roof membrane works can be carried out to repair an existing roof or for the construction of a new roof. These processes are important to prevent water leaks, improve energy efficiency and ensure the durability of the roof. In addition, regular maintenance of roof membranes extends the life of the roof and ensures its smooth operation. Roof membrane works are usually carried out by specialized roofers or professionals with experience in waterproofing.
